Super Powers

Recently I was asked if I could have any super power what it would be. The answer is and has always been: to change forms.  Alas, a superhero I am not. (Or if I really am, I wouldn't divulge here. We've only just met a little over a month ago.) The closest thing to that epic ability consists of the sacred ritual of losing myself in my closet and carefully selecting my attire, to battle the day with. I love capes,  long vests, and jackets. See a pattern here? I'm drawn to things that flow behind me as I walk. I'm drawn to the dramatic. Add in high heels, and I can conquer any dubious evil villain that challenges me. (mostly my own personal demons.)

Other powers I would have:

Getting over a breakup faster than a speeding bullet

Power budgeting

Telekinesis. Refilling my wine glass is getting monotonous.

When they asked me what I wanted to be I said I didn’t know. “Oh, sure you know,” the photographer said. “She wants,” said Jay Cee wittingly, “to be everything.
